A wonderful local history museum within easy walking distance of the Market Place and car parks. Its galleries include a Williams F1 display, a Victorian kitchen, an Iron Age skeleton, a life sized bronze statue of Lester Piggott, a bust of Sir John Betjeman and so much interesting history on the town, birth place of King Alfred the Great.
